Separate milk with high conductivity

I recently found the Lely a4 option "use milk separation suggestion (conductivity)" and asked myself if I could set a conductivity limit for milk. It's locates in settings > milking procedure > milk separation. Any milk from a cow with higher conductivity could be separated automatically. Is that possible? My local Lely manager says it's impossible, but my robot indicates that it's possible. Who is right?

  • Dear Jonas Klein, to say kindly probably not. The Astronaut A4 does not support setting a fixed conductivity threshold for automatic milk separation. If you want to change how sensitive the system is, you can review the udder health and milk separation settings in Horizon with your Lely advisor, but you cannot configure a specific conductivity value such as 85 for automatic separation. I could be wrong, but for us it was not possible at least.
