found this picture of a nicely restored Lely Victory combine harvester on Facebook, showed on a local show in England. Lely manufactured combine harvesters from the mid 60 to 1980. First in Germany at the Dechentreiter factory, later in England. Typically was the folded header which made it possible to have a larger harvesting capacity than competitors.     yes, they did, for some 20 years. Of course the folded header idea was patented. The last 2 Lely machines were sold in 1980. After 1970 only some 60 were built in England at the Fisher-Humphries factory. A factory bought by Lely and founded 1832. At first farmers were enthousiastic about this machine due to its large capacity. However, the machines were not strong enough and got a not so good reputation.Attached is a picture taken at the Royal Smithfield show in London in the mid sixties.
