Improvement suggestions in the Horizon app

Hello,

Is there a plan to enable remote control of some of the functions on the touchscreen via the Horizon app?

Examples:

  • Prolonging milking attempts
  • Adding feed during milk sequence
  • Confirmation of filter exchange
  • Confirmation of emptying M4use
  • ...

  • Hello Berry,

    Thank you for responding!

    Scenario 1:

Training a rookie in the robot, standing on the outside rubbing the back of the animal to calm it.

1.a Udder is uneven and scanning is unsuccessful.

To be able to via smartphone extend the search or manually redirect scanning for teats while still rubbing its back would be perfect.

1.b The given amount of pellets is not enough to last the entire milking session.

To be able to open my smartphone and add more feed while still rubbing the back of the cow would be wonderful.

Current situation requires either a second person being available to use the touch screen to add feed, or me walking back in to the screen resulting in allmost 100% a failed milking when the cow starts jumping and robot is unable to finalize the milking session.

The last 2 is optional for us , but lets say you actually have emptied the buckets and or replaced the filter, something distracts you i.e animals have escaped from pasture.

You are in the middle of coralling the animals and get that pesky phonecall informing you of that all 4 buckets are still full.

Being able to confirm and not getting more calls would make my day.

    Sidenote!

Perhaps the alarms could be sent in the app as an option, to get rid of the need for a cell phone interface.

and  feel free to chime in with your examples.

    Kind regards / Ola Larsson

  • scenario 1 is indeed something we would also find usegul

  • Hi  , thanks for replying to my questions. I'm always curious what people motivate in their wishes and off course always curious where practical improvements can be found.

When you look at the features there are always multiple ways to look at it. For example a balance between practical usage, safety and security, when and where are you able to access these features?

If you would ask  you to rate the features between 1 (low useful) and 10 (high useful) where would you rate them? Could you indicate what kind of time this would save you per cow? Like an estimation?

    Kind regards, Berry Pasman
