When I open the "Fetch Cows" task and it turns purple, it still seems to add new cows even after I’ve opened it. Is this the expected behavior, or might there be a setting I missed? I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have!
Thanks!

I’ve been using the Fetch Cows task on my phone, and I’ve noticed that even after I open the task (it turns purple), new cows still seem to get added. Just wondering, is that how it’s supposed to work? Or is there a setting I might’ve missed that locks the list once it's opened? I’m trying to make sure I don’t miss any cows while I’m already out fetching. Would appreciate any tips or experience from others using it the same way!
Hi there, great question!
If you don’t have the Freeze list option turned on for your Collect Cows task, cows will keep being added as time goes on, which is completely normal and how Horizon is designed to work.
Now, here’s the neat part… If you enable Freeze list when using the Fetch Cows task, the list will “lock in” the moment you open it. No new cows will be added, except for any that had a failed milking. This is super handy when you have an employee whose job is to go out and collect exactly the cows on the list at that moment, without any surprises popping up mid-task.
To find Freeze list, go to Step 1 when editing the task. On mobile, it’s tucked away under Advanced options.
