    For us, automatic drafting gates save a ton of hassle, but only if your lanes are set up right. Some neighbors just fetch twice a day and it works fine for them. If you’re running robots, a 3-way grazing system keeps the cows moving through the dairy on their own. I’d say there’s no one right answer, just what keeps your cows calm and your labor manageable
