For farmers with smaller herds (less than 30 cows), you might prefer to keep your milking robot out of operation after a main cleaning. Here’s how you can manage this:
Currently, there are a few options within the software settings:
1. E-Link Setting - "Robot out of operation after main cleaning"
2. Service Setting on the CRS+/M3 - "Delay postcleaning in operation"
3. Service Setting on the CRS+/M3 - "Draining". This setting can be used as a workaround to keep the robot out of operation after cleaning. Originally designed to drain long milk lines while keeping the milk tank valve to sewer, it can be set to a maximum value of 600 minutes.
For small herds, using the "draining" setting may be a helpful option.
If you’re just starting with your milking robot, make sure to consider these settings and consult with your local advisor if you need further assistance in setting them up.
