The farm tab shows the basic information and settings which are helpful for your farm. Think about the language, units (metric/imperial) and how to show the correct milk values (ECM/FPCM/Milksolid).

How do you edit the basic information of the farm?

Step 1: Go to Manage > Farm setup > Farm

Step 2: All the basic information on the farm will be shown. This is also the place where you can change your account settings.

Step 3: Click on Apply changes in the top right-hand corner to save the changes you have made.

Correct milk values

The calculations below are applied for the corrected milk values (ECM/FPCM/Milksolid)

FPCM – metric

—- FPCM=((.337+(0.116*Fat %)+(0.06*Protein %))*kg Milk

FPCM – Imperial

—- FPCM=((.337+(0.116*Fat %)+(0.06*Protein %))*Lbs Milk

ECM – Metric

—- ECM = [(fat content, % * 383 + protein content, % * 242 + 783.2)/3140]* milk yield (kg)

ECM – Imperial

—- ECM formula = (0.327 X milk lbs.) + (12.95 X fat lbs.) + (7.65 X protein lbs.)

Milk solids

—- Milk solids = (Milk yield (kg) * 1,03 * (%P /100)) + (milk yield (kg) * 1,03 * (%F /100))
