How do you edit a herd in Lely Horizon?

A herd includes all the cows on your farm. Practical example: if your farm consists of one herd (i.e. all the cows), the herd can be made up of different groups (heifers, pregnant cows, dry cows, etc.)

How do you edit a herd?

Step 1: Go to Manage > Farm setup > Herd

Step 2: Click on the name of the herd you want to edit.

Step 3: Change the herd information: A) Name B) UCN C) Tank number.

Step 4: Click Apply changes to save the changes you have made.

Multiple herds

It is also possible to have multiple herds at one location. This is for farms that want to separate different herds at the same location (farm). With the multiple herd functionality, you can see the performance of the herds separately in Horizon. Each individual cow is assigned to a herd.

How do you add a new herd?

Step 1: Go to: Manage > Farm setup > Herds

Step 2: Click on Add herd

Step 3: Hive your herd the following information: A) Name B) UCN C) Tank number.

Step 4: Click Apply changes to save the changes you have made.
