How do you edit a group in Lely Horizon?

Cows can be assigned to a group either manually or automatically. In case of automatic grouping, criteria such as lactation number, reproduction status or age are used to determine the group allocation.

How do you edit a group?

Step 1: Go to Manage > Farm setup > Groups

Step 2: Click on the name of the group you want to edit.

Step 3: Edit the parameters and information.

Use the Group status Automatic to assign cows automatically to be a group based on the selected criteria. The criteria are shown on the right-hand side if the group status is set to “Automatic”.

Use the Group status Manual to manually assign cows to a group. In this case, the group number is set by the user via the cowcard. The Group status Default is only used for cows which do not fit in any other group.

Step 4: Click Apply changes to save the changes you have made.

How do you add a new group?

Step 1: Go to Manage > Farm setup > Groups

Step 2: Click on Add groups

Step 3: Add the name of the group you want

Step 4: In group status, you can select between manual and automatic. If you choose manual, you will be able to put cows into this group manually. If you choose automatic, you will be shown a screen to apply the parameters for your advanced filter.

Step 5: Click Apply changes
